"Perfect! How do I get started?"
Have online banking? You've got e-Transfer!
Never sent an e-Transfer before? First thing's first - you will need to set up a sender's profile (which you can find under the 'Transfers' tab in your online banking)
Then, before you can send an e-Transfer, you will need:
1. The recipient's name
2. The recipient's email address or mobile phone number
How to send an e-Transfer:
1. Login to your online banking or mobile banking
2. Click on "Transfers"
3. Click on "Send Interac e-Transfer"
4. Click on "Add New Recipient" and fill out your recipient's information
5. Specify where you want to send the money from, the amount, along with an optional message!
6. You're done!
How to receive an e-Transfer:
1. Click on the special link you received within the notification email (this link will direct you to a secure INTERAC® login screen)
2. From the next screen, select your credit union or bank
3. Once selected, INTERAC® will take you to your financial institution's website where you will be prompted to login to your Online Banking account
4. Once logged in, the banking system will walk you through the deposit process
Receive money directly into your account with Autodeposit
The Autodeposit feature allows you to have money sent via Interac e-Transfer automatically deposited directly into your bank account, without having to answer a security question. The Autodeposit feature continues to provide the value of Interac e-Transfer, without the need to share financial information.
For senders, there is added convenience of not needing to convey security answers while continuing to have the security of knowing who is receiving the funds, prior to sending.
Set-up is simple:

Log in to your online banking and navigate to Autodeposit, found in the Transfers - Send Interac e-Transfer - Autodeposit (middle top of the screen in blue).

Register your e-mail address and link your account. Any transfers to the registered email address will be automatically deposited into the account.

You will receive an email to confirm your registration. Check your inbox and click "Complete Registration".
Get paid easily with Request Money
Easily request money you are owed with the Interac e-Transfer Request Money feature. When you send a request for money, the recipient is notified instantly and can accept the request. If accepted, the requested amount will be automatically deposited into your account and you will be notified when funds are available.

Log in to your online banking or and navigate to Interac e-Transfer Request Money.

Add or select a contact and fill out the name and e-mail address or mobile phone number of the person you wish to send the request to.

Type in the specified amount you are requesting and select the account you would like the funds to be deposited into. You can also include a personalized message with the request.

Once the recipient has fulfilled your request, funds will immediately be deposited into your bank account and you will be notified immediately.
